Charles Evans Higdon

Charles E. Higdon is the son of Mary and William Thomas Higdon. Charles's grandfather was Leonard Higdon of Macon County, North Carolina who married Mary Ann McClure on May 7, 1853 in Fannin County, Georgia.

Charles graduated with a bachelor's degree and a law degree from the University of Tennessee. He became an attorney for the Department of Justice. Charles was detailed to the State Department and served as legal attache and consul at the American Embassy in many different countries. Charles obtained a master's degree in International Affairs from George Washington University. After retiring from the Department of State, Charles practiced law in Knoxville, Tennessee and was licensed to practice before the United States Supreme Court. He is a charter member of The Higdon Family Association.
