No photoimages of research facilities staff are allowed. No individual researcher is allowed with a valid National Archive photo identification card. Here you have Janice J & William R “Bill” Higdon performing an electronic search to find a document they are interested. Once found, researchers are taken into an examination room where they can visually check, but not touch, the document. Creating a photocopy with a hand held cellphone is allowed. Taking notes about the document is allowed. Just don’t touch. The archive photo ID is usable at any of the several Archive satellite building located throughtout the U.S.
