Thursday morning Kathie and I load up the car and off we go to Alexandria, VA. But before we get to the hotel, we go to Mount Vernon and tour George Washington’s home. We have been there before, but it is a nice place to visit. They are always working on restoring parts of the building and grounds. Of course, no photos can be taken inside, but outside you can take all you want.

This is the side that overlooks the river. We got to the hotel in time to join the group for a nice dinner at Outbacks. We enjoyed catching up with everyone. The year seemed to go fast.
