The descendants of William Huffman Higdon and Jane Buchanan Higdon gathered on September 12, 2004, at the Higdonville Baptist Church in Macon County, North Carolina, to celebrate their 109th consecutive reunion. Just as they have done in many past years, Denton Higdon and his family played a major role arranging and setting up the church for the reunion. Nancy Higdon Cheney presided. She was given a round of applause for her work during the past three years. Tom Higdon will be in charge of the 110th reunion set for September 11, 2005.
