Frank B. Higdon was elected the first president of the Higdon Family Association, Inc. in October, 1976. Frank is the son of Arie and Frank Betts Higdon, Sr. In 1944, Frank married Doria in Washington, D. C. Frank is descended from Samuel Terrill Higdon born circa 1770-1775 in Georgia. Frank served as the Treasurer of the HFA for many years.
Frank received a bachelor of science degree from Southeastern University. He worked for two years at the Federal Bureau of Investigation; then Frank enlisted in the Air Force for two years. He obtained a master of science degree from Catholic University. Frank worked as a staff accountant for seven years. Then he opened his own firm Frank B. Higdon, CPA. Frank was one of the founders and an officer of the Alexandria Dukes, Carolina League Baseball Team.
Frank has always been willing to share information about his family line. His line descends from Samuel Terrill Higdon through Frank Betts Higdon, Sr.
