Leonard Higdon (1754-1837) moved from Anson County to Rutherford County, North Carolina, married Susannah Harris in 1791, and settled in Burke County, North Carolina. Descendants lived in North Carolina, Georgia and elsewhere. These descendants include Linnie Jane Higdon who was a daughter of Nimrod and Louise Safronia Gaston Higdon, who settled in Quinlan, Hunt County, Texas.
