Kristin Nave Yokoyama, of Redondo Beach, California, 2014-2015 President, is the second daughter of Thomas Edgar Nave and Kathryn Jane Wyrick. Kristin’s paternal grandmother was Gertrude Higdon, the eldest daughter of William Thomas Higdon and Mary Arp. Her sister Karen Nave Fickes is the past president of the association, and Kristin’s great uncle Charles E. Higdon was one of the founding members of the Higdon Family Association.
Born in Knoxville Tennessee, Kristin grew up in South Carolina, Kansas, Texas, Minnesota, and Florida due to her Father’s occupation as a CPA and Corporate Finance Officer.
A graduate from University of Florida with a finance degree, Kristin also received her Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) and fellowship through Wharton School. After college she accepted a position in the employee benefits field in Tampa, Florida and soon was transferred to California where she met her husband David and married in 1995. Kristin has made her home in Southern California for the past 28 years and is currently a Vice President with Wells Fargo Insurance Brokerage and Consulting.
Kristin is looking forward to hosting the 2015 Higdon Family Association meeting on the west coast and welcomes all current and new members to attend.
