We don’t know when this image was captured. That’s Sonny Elder, one of Uncle Ted’s many nephews, on the hood of the back car. The image is grainy, but that probably because the image was captured with a camera almost a century old. What I appreciate is that the photographer had a good eye for composition. At first glance, my eyes always move slowly from the right to the left of the image, and then move back to Ted, with his dapper curl on his forehead.
