This Higdon gristmill was located on what is now Ellijay Road in Macon County, North Carolina. Check Higdon gristmill in the Photo Gallery for a story of interest.

A view of a replica of the Tucker’s Island Lighthouse. The original island and lighthouse are now gone, and to protect the building from continuing weather and water damages this further inland site was chosen.
