Captain Leonard Thomas Higdon grave marker

In January 2003, Jim Hersom was granted permission to use Tommy's photograph and the information above on a web site for the 327th Infantry that is being developed by former members of the unit. He shares:

"I served with Captain Higdon in Vietnam. At the time, he was the company commander of Company E, 1st Battalion, 327th Infantry, 101st Airborne Division. I was his company clerk. At the time of his death he was on Fire Support Base Bastogne. I was on Camp Eagle, the division base camp… I have never forgotten him and have had an opportunity to visit the Vietnam Memorial in Washington, D.C. and see his name on the wall."
