The Vietnam War lasted from 1959 through 1975. The war divided our country as much as the Civil War; it shattered millions of lives, hopes, and dreams. Captain Leonard Thomas Higdon was killed by enemy mortar, May 21, 1970, while on his second tour of duty in Vietnam.
