Samuel Higdon, Constable 1847
We received a copy of the March 22, 1847 bond for Samuel Higdon in the sum of $4,000 to act as Constable for Haywood County, North Carolina (see a photograph with genealogical information about Samuel Higdon (b.1822) and Polly Queen Higdon). Thanks to Ernest Klatt, a researcher but not a Higdon relative, for sending this document our way.
