Lower Aerial View of The Inn at Brome Howard

As you can see, all but one of the former plantation outbuildings are grouped together as they were on the original site of the manor house. The restored slave quarters buildings are off to the left near the river off of the photograph.

When I visited The Inn at Brome Howard last November, 2018 after our Gettysburg meeting, I don’t remember seeing any of the trees left along the river bank. Because I could see the river clearly, I recall thinking that at high tide the LIttle St. Mary’s River was not fall below the level of the land at this point. The river is a small tidal tributary of the Potomac River.
