This Higdon gristmill was located on what is now Ellijay Road in Macon County, North Carolina. Check Higdon gristmill in the Photo Gallery for a story of interest.

The manor house is almost 190 years old. There is a living room and dining room on the first floor. The second floor and the gabled attic floor contain the five bedrooms. The Inn at Brome Howard is handicap-accessible with a ramp on the right side coming up to an extension of the front porch and inside there is a handicap-accessible washroom, and a handicap-accessible elevator to reach the upper floor.
